Review: Gluten Free Chocolate Macaroons

Hello beauties!

Sorry it has been a while since our my last blog post! This year has certainly kept me on my toes. Anyway today I have a real naughty treat for you. As a blogger, you sometimes get rather lovely things to review. I have to admit to enjoying the edible ones most of all. However, of all the things I have indulged in for review purposes, I think Mrs Crimble’s Chocolate Macaroons are my favorite. I received my parcel from Bzzagent last week and rushed to the stores.

What really surprised me was the texture. These macaroons were so moist and juicy. The coconut texture is there, but its slightly chewy and still melts in your mouth, IT reminds me of a bounty chocolate bar.  The chocolate adds a real touch of indulgence and they are big enough to seem like a treat. These amazing snacks are also Gluten-free and Wheat-free. Great news for those on a restricted diet !

The only downside are that these snacks are quite calorific - one macaroon contains 197 calories - but one of these treats is sure to satisfy even the sweetest tooth. I love the fact that they're all a bit mis-shapen so they look homemade. Mrs Crimble's apparently sells more than one of its Chocolate Macaroons every second, making it Britains Best macaroon and if you still need a reason to try them out, it's National Macaroon Day at the end of the month on 31st May !
